East Asia

December 10On Dec. 10-20 a team from New Zealand is in East Asia giving presentations to college students about New Zealand life and culture. Pray that as they share the sacred and secular customs connected to Christmas, that their hope in Christ will come through to the students.

December 8Pray for Ethan Christofferson as he speaks at the Hakka Mission Seminary chapel service tomorrow. Pray also for the students in their ongoing preparations for future ministry in Hakka congregations.

December 7Pray for Jeremy, Sallee, Olivia and Abigail who are about halfway through their study time in France. Pray for language acquisition and for new friends, especially during this holiday season away from family.

December 6Rains arrived too late and now the heavy, late rains are destroying the crops even further. Famine is likely to be widespread. Pray for the church in Chad, that they will respond in compassion to the many around them who are left hungry.

December 5Pray that the Lord will give Dean and Linda Bengtson many opportunities to share the message of Christ’s birth with their neighbors in Ishinomaki. Pray that God would soften the hearts of neighbors to hear and believe the good news of God’s Son.

North America

December 4The Christmas season in New York City offers opportunities to invite members of the UN community to learn about Christ. Pray for diplomats and family members who attend events with Heidi Jensen. Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw many to saving grace in the Christ of Christmas.

December 3Pray for good health for Nathanael and Carrie and their children. Pray that they will be lights for Christ in a community divided by local political conflict. Pray for peace, that they might find ways to speak God’s Word to all sides.

December 2Pray for the salvation of Mr. L who recently lost his job and has been coming to church. Pray that as Ethan and Sandy Christofferson and others from Enlin LBC reach out to him, God would give him a hunger for God’s Word and prepare his heart for the gospel.

December 1Let us praise God with Paul and Teresa for the open door and formal invitation by a chief of one of the Arab villages they have been visiting, to come and make their home in his village.
