CHINA

Pray for Joel and Liz C. as they phase themselves out of previous ministries and transition into new ministry positions. Pray that God will continue to use them to share the gospel with the Chinese.

NORTH AMERICA

Joel and Marybeth Nordtvedt (International Students, Inc.) are on a trip to the Grand Canyon with some students from the University of AZ. Pray for good relationships with the students, for a safe trip and for fruitful conversations.

CHAD

Nathanael writes  that this month they finish checking the translation of several stories in Genesis and the gospel of Mark (DPN 9/14). Pray that God will open doors to share these stories with the Chadian people.

JAPAN

Pray for a fresh vision of Jesus for our Japan churches, and for leaders and congregations to find effective means to proclaim the gospel to their families and neighbors in word and in deed.

TAIWAN

Pray for Dan Venberg as he presents the mission of LBIM to both laity and leadership, and discusses with them a potential partnership in reaching unreached people groups in Chad. Pray also for him as he preaches God’s Word and visits with the LB missionaries there.

JAPAN

Pray for the church in Japan  that God’s people would bring peace and comfort to their neighbors as they face a threat of attack from North Korea. There is much fear among the Japanese.

FRANCE

Pray for Kay in her 2nd  month of French language school. Pray for cultural adjustments and good health. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide her in establishing good study habits and routines that include time with the Lord and immersion in the French language.

TAIWAN

Today, Victory Hakka Fellowship conducts an outreach activity for the Mid-Autumn Festival.  May God touch the hearts of those who attend and may the gospel be clearly proclaimed.

TAIWAN

Mike and Delores Kittelson write that the Chinese LB church has their annual meeting today and a thanksgiving service to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the synod. Praise God for his faithfulness!

JAPAN

Pray for open hearts as neighbors gather at House of Hope in Ishinomaki tomorrow evening for a concert with gospel singer Shizu Takeshita and pianist Yuta Yamamoto. Shizu comes several times a year and always shares the gospel clearly.
